Allen wrench to size

STEP 1

Loosen screws. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the bolts on the stem. The handlebar should rotate back and forth.

 

STEP 2

Be sure to tilt the angle of the handlebars along the line of the arms. Your elbows should be slightly bent as you lead your bike.

 

Advice ...

  • Be sure to be able to reach the brake levers and shifters after changing the position of the handlebars. 

  • Be sure not to pinch the brake cables or change when you adjust the handlebars. 

  • If the changes are a problem, consider changing the saddle height.
