REQUIRED TOOLS

Wrench and allen wrench to size

To adjust the height of the handlebar, many bikes require loosening of a bolt placed at the center of the handlebar, and it is inserted vertically, along the barrel of the steering, inside the handlebar itself.

STEP 1

Insert the Allen wrench into the bolt and turn it counter-clockwise. If the bike has a certain age, or the handle is fully tightened the bolt will begin to rise. Just one turn of the screw (or at least 2) is enough.

In some bicycle models the Allen bolt is replaced by a bolt, in this case use the wrench

STEP 2

In this case, with a clamp or key, give a mild stroke on the bolt, so that the expander falls down. At this point the handle is free to move.

Adjust the height

NOTE: The cut that you see at the end of the handlebar must always be totally placed inside the barrel steering by entering the handlebars, the steering rod, till clearing the cut (which locks the handlebars). You will get the maximum height to which you can bring the handlebar.

STEP 3

The height is adjusted to your liking, screw the bolt loose, without forcing ....

... Adjust the correct position of the handlebar, with respect to the wheel, and then tighten the bolt.
