STEP 1

Release the brake: 

in the case of a bicycle with wire brakes, loosen the cable brake to allow the release of the jaws and therefore their expansion; 

To do this, with a hand squeeze the pads towards the wheel, in order to release the tension of the cable brake and with the other hand try to unhook the cable lug of the same cable from its housing. 

With rod brakes remove the padsfrom their supports by loosening the screw connection to the bow

.

 

 

 

STEP 2

Before removing the rear wheel, actuate the speed until you reach the smaller crown forwards and backwards. This allows a less tension to the chain and an easily wheel removal.

STEP 3

Loosen the wheel holding nuts with the wrench, 

 

There is no need to remove the nut from the wheel.

STEP 4

Extend the rear derailleur.

STEP 5

Slips off the wheel from the fork, keeping extended the rear derailleur.

STEP 6

Slips off the wheel by removing the chain from the rear sprocket
